2016 is an immersive multimedia concert project by Portuguese composer and pianist João Vasco, combining original piano music with self-directed visual art.
Performed as a trio with violin and cello, the work draws inspiration from Ryuichi Sakamoto and spans influences from classical to minimalist music, creating a deeply poetic dialogue between sound and image.
Premiered in Paris and toured internationally, the project stands out for its cinematic aesthetic and emotional depth, offering a unique fusion of concert and visual storytelling.
